To my dear friend on your birthday....there are no words to type. I know from your hospital bed today you can't read this but know that I love you very much.

Thanksgiving 2008

(click on the collage enlarge)

We had a great couple of days visiting in Orlando with family. Disney as you can see from all the pictures was perfect. We had fantastic weather, happy kids, no stress...it was truly a "magical day". Cooper loved his cousins (and Jamie too...Taylor's boyfriend) more than Mickey and we all managed to work our way through the crowds for the day. Cooper fell asleep waiting to see Mickey and loved both parades we saw.
Funny Rob moments of the day that make me love him more: 1) Rob trying to navigate the stroller on the tram and then announcing he's a first time dad at Disney so loud so everyone could hear and cut him a break 2) Rob dropping a hot dog on a child waiting for the parade to start...mustard, ketchup and all the fixin's right on the little girls sweater....in his defense he did help the mom clean it up 3) Rob not knowing it's "Jimeny Cricket" not "Jimmy the Cricket"...that one still has me laughing so hard! I was not so happy at the beginning of the day as I dropped and cracked my camera so...thank God for Robin and her love of photos! I could relax and know she was capturing everything the past 2 days. She took amazing pictures and even others I didn't share here that we plan to use for our Christmas card.

Thursday we shared Thanksgiving together just relaxing, visiting and celebrating Britany's 18th bday and Christopher's 3rd bday. Robin has more pics on her blog. Just click here.

We are truly thankful for our family and friends and missed those of you we didn't get to celebrate with. We hope you all had a blessed day where you were.

Happy Thanksgiving weekend everyone!

Here's a quick video of Cooper on the Carousel at Disney...that kid danced all day!

New playroom

So Cooper's latest climbing escapades have gotten out of hand. First scaling the entertainment center, next he climbed into the fireplace and we realized that putting all the large toys in front of the brick fireplace was probably not the smartest idea. So....Rob and I cleaned out the guest room/part-time office and put up a baby gate in the hallway so Cooper can have free reign in his room and across the hall at the new playroom.

After baby proofing both rooms, I remembered I had some sports decals I never used so...up they went.

He is loving it and so are we :)

Let the holiday season begin!

Tonight we made it out for a family venture to the local tree lighting and boat parade! It was such a nice brisk night and the local crowd was eager to wear their sweaters, hats, gloves...etc. We ate dinner at a nice little local cafe in the Village and enjoyed the people watching.

Cooper took a nasty tumble this morning after trying to climb the entertainment center like it was a jungle gym. Check out little Rocky Balboa in the pics.

check out Cooper talking to the baby Jesus!

Launch of Endeavour

I was on a plane flying home and missed all the fun but Rob, Cooper and Grammie had a front row seat as they went down the street to the river to watch the shuttle. Oh how I love night launches and was sad to miss this one first hand. Rob filmed it for me.

I was so glad to be home, back in the sunshine and warmer weather. I loved spending time with Kimmy and her family but the weather and traffic in the DC area are both terrible. I was ready to come back to my quiet little life :) I am ready for the holidays and just bought more cake baking stuff for upcoming family birthdays and gatherings, I have grand ideas, we'll see if I can pull them off.

Greetings from DC

I am in DC for work and am having a great time with my sister and her family.

Yesterday my meetings in the city made for a very long day as I rented a car and drove into DC. It took me 2 hours in traffic to get back to my sisters (it was a 30 minute ride there without traffic) but it was worth it to pass The White House and all the other great monuments of DC...right from the comfort of my rental car. The rental car by the way that I parked at a parking garage and once I left the car and stepped out into the street, I had no idea where I was! I had to get a cab to both meeting addresses. DC is not like NYC and I was so turned around the whole time. (I will also admit I didn't know by the end of the day where the garage was but thank God the address was on the ticket voucher I had in my pocket!...that's what I get for strating my day at 4:30am...I was useless by the time I got back to my car at 6pm)

But...I am enjoying my time with Grant. He is about to take off walking and is almost on his 4th tooth :)

Be back on Friday!

Happy 3rd Bday Brody!

We had a great day yesterday at Brody's Birthday Party! The highlight for me was when Cooper and I walked in to say "Happy Birthday Brody" and his response was "thanks...were's Rob?" Too cute!

Meredith did a fun slideshow ...just click HERE.
