Full- The Christmas 2010 Edition

It's coming to be THAT time of year.
You know, the time of year where you start to get reflective on your life
and how another year has come and gone.
How you start to question, what did I do with my life these past 365 days?
I am in that reflective mode this week.

I know I am again full after a holiday...full in the best way possible.  Full of  love and gratitude to be surrounded by people who inspire me, make me want to be a better person and who love me for who I am.

I love that in a year of divorce, I get to still be an aunt to amazing children
whom I have grown to love so deeply.
I am full with love for this girl and her siblings and her cousins.

I am full literally of amazing Italian Christmas cuisine that reminds me of my roots and makes me smile that this is the same picture that has been taken in my family for generations.  The faces age and change from generations but it's really the same picture...same food, same traditions, same blood line.

I am full of admiration for my mother, her strength in the shadow of grief and her ability to help me raise Cooper to be a fine young man who I can already tell is above and beyond his 3 whole years.

I am full of love and amazement at this little boy whom I am so very lucky to call mine.  To think I lived a time on this earth without him....it's crazy to think about my life before.  I know that the person I am today is certainly not the person I was then, and with that thought, I am excited about the person I still am yet to be.  So...bring on 2011.  I am ready...I think my glass is just half full.

I am ready for to keep filling the rest of my life up ...and to fill it to the brim!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

It's the most wonderful time of the year!  The tree is up and we have been in full holiday mode.  Saturday we went to the Christmas Parade....diving for candy and yelling "Merry Christmas" were the highlights of the parade...plus all the marching bands...Cooper loves the marching bands!

The float below made me sad....it was all the laid off engineers from NASA with a float like the "want ads" saying Santa's workshop was hiring.
Also on Saturday we were off to a photoshoot with this crazy clan...check out the photography blog for more! The weekend went by way too fast...I have a feeling that's how the whole month is going to go!

Full- A Thanksgiving 2010 and Wedding ReCap

For the last six days, I have been FULL. And of all the things you love to be full of.

FULL of LOVE

FULL of Family

Full of FUN
Full of Food.

My cousin Katie got married on the Friday after Thanksgiving in McKinney Texas.  The Grand Hotel of McKinney was a great old hotel in the downtown area where the Christmas festival had just started.

There were reindeer.

 And pony rides

And shopping

We rode the merry go round, a train and also hit the petting zoo!  We did it all :)

Katie and Erik's wedding was beautiful.

She took pictures outside on the merry go round and
I can't wait to see how her photographer shot it!  So fun!

Cooper did walk down the isle as the ring bearer....
with me and with out the flower girl ...she was 2 and was NOT havin' it poor thing.
(This picture was not the isle but right before he walked down...I know Mere is going to ask detailed questions...NO, Mr GQ here is just posing!)

Erik's best man gave the sweetest speech and so did Katie's sister...
it was really a very nice event!

There were AMAZING cupcakes as the cake (the smore's cupcakes ROCKED)
Cooper held all the ladies attention as he danced (his side kick and wing man Grant had just gone off to bed at the time of this photo).
AND to top it all off there was a candy bar!  You can't go wrong with M&Ms.

So yes...I am full! I feel like the well that was running dry has been replenished and I am ready to keep tapping it off throughout the holiday season and into 2011.
