Do you Gabba Gabba?

Rob is totally into Yo Gabba Gabba and now Cooper is rocking out to all the songs like crazy when they are on TV. Strangely enough, the first 500 times I heard this it grated on my last nerve but now I am getting into it. I will never think Biz Markie needed to come back from the 80's though...he for sure is jump roping on my last nerve when he comes on. Rob of course loves the fabulous "80's ness" (did I just make up a word?) of the show, Cooper just loves that his dad jumps and does the robot with him to crazy music.

Sad Goodbye

We are sad to see Grammie, Grant and Aunt Kimmy go for a month!

Weekend Whirlwind

We took Monday off to recover from our busy but great weekend. On Sunday, we went to see Sesame Street Live at the UCF arena. How nice to go back on campus and see how much has changed since I was a student! Here are pictures from Grant's visit and the past few days... Birthday Party Day!

We are exhausted from a great birthday party. Here are just a few pics I snapped, I am counting on Mere and Aimee (my family photographers!) for most of the shots :)

We had a great day and I can't thank all our friends and family enough for coming and making it such a great day not only for Cooper but for Rob and I. We are so truely blessed to have such a great circle of people in our lives and I love you all for coming and of course for the great gifts too! All of the family out of town, calling and singing Happy Birthday to Cooper was so thoughtful and sending great gifts, a big thank you! Cooper loved all of it and thanks all his cousins for the birthday wishes and signing (this morning he laughed and danced to Christopher's message!)

It's B-A-N-A-N-A-S

I have lost my mind in the party planning. I guess I secretly miss meeting planning a bit. My throat is killing me, I got some antibiotics at my doctor today BUT...the party prep is in full swing. Grammie and Kimmy came over today with Grant (who got 2 new teeth and starting waving this week during his visit by the way!) and Cooper got to lick the mixer on his cake and cupcakes we are making.

We watched the video of his birth today and it is so funny! Don't think it was all national geographic or anything....it's just me on the bed going.."WOO HOO C-Section!" after I didn't progress from the inducement, Rob looking freaked out in his gear and then little baby Cooper crying in his little bed in the nursary. It was fun and here are some pics to remind you of that day, one year ago tomorrow! The one of Rob ready for the OR is the best!

We are off to get his one year photos tomorrow so I'll post them when we get back :)

103.4

So folks, we are sick! Isn't that always the way? We have a big week and a bigger weekend and we are sick sick sick! Cooper's got 103.4 temp that has come down to 100 at our doctors visit first thing this morning and I have a sore throat. Rob is pumping me and himself full of Vitamin C and other vitamins from his supply closet. I am sure it will blow over fast as it's just a regular old cold the doctor said so...hopefully we will be in party mode by Friday for Cooper's bday.

Cooper may be sick but nothing is keeping him down. His current favorite game of doing "rasberries" on your face is still just as funny to him at 103.4 as it is with a regular temp so as long as we are still laughing...we are fine.

Pool fun and more

We are starting off the birthday week with the new pool fence being installed today and Grant is soaking up the Florida sunshine. That little hambone LOVES the camera...like my sister, he never takes a bad picture :) We are also getting ready for Cooper's bday party on Sat....here's a little sneak peak of the gift bags I am getting together. Wait until you see the cake...I am so excited. Martha Stewart would be so proud of my fondant monkies I made!

PS- Got the kitchen light fixed too...seems I am not really an electrician and I crossed some wires in my install of the new lights. Oh well...I tried!

Cousins

We just had a few hours last night to visit but we are ready for a full week with our cousin Grant! We are coming up on a big week. Cooper's 1 st bday is Fri so we have formal pictures scheduled, his party on Sat then we are off to see Elmo at Seasame Street Live next weekend. We are also having the security fence installed around the pool on Monday and I did some home improvements with new lighting and blew something in the circuit breaker so I have been cooking with limited lighting (I blew the breaker for the kitchen lights) so I am eager to get all that fixed. Never a dull moment!

Grandparents Day

Little did I know this day existed until I had Cooper so...in honor of Grandparent's day, here are a few of our favorite summer/pool pics of Cooper with his Grammie, Nana and Papa and Great Grandparents Nona and Pop Pop.

Our 1 year old AC went out last night.......ARGHHHHHH. Of course the technician can't come out until tomorrow so ...we'll be in Grammie's cool house all day today if you need us!

Cooper has been standing on his own and walking forward while holding on to things. We are on the move people!

Happy Labor Day weekend

We have had a nice Labor Day weekend at home. I managed to whip out those "space bags" and clean almost all the closets in the house, including Cooper's which was full of clothes he no longer fits in. My little baby is almost one and I have been hording all the clothes for a year in the back of his closet that no longer fit. His old clothes got boxed up incase there is a baby boy #2 in our future but I got over 8 bags of clothes to donate from my closet.

Of course Cooper helped clean the closets by pulling things out of the bags as I put them in :)

Grammie took us to the mall and as you can see from the blurry pic from my cell phone, Cooper got new shoes which he quickly began to eat....until Grammie got him icecream...then he forgot all about the shoes.

Also ...here's Cooper wearing an old headset I found while cleaning our closet. The first pic posted is him last night before bedtime with his new favorite toy...his cell phone. He'll hold it up to his ear and "talk" away! Wonder where he gets that from!?!
