What's up?

Our weekend is turning out really nicely so far...even though Cooper has had a fever. We think it's the teeth coming in and he is not eating. As you can see, I dragged out some baby food thinking something soft and cool would help but...he made this mess the second I turned my back. Ice cream seems to be the only cure for the "getting new teeth blues".

Kimmy and Trey are back from their week in Tampa and we took the boys back to the beach this morning and they leave really early tomorrow morning. Even though Cooper had a fever we thought we give it a try at the beach and he seems better now this afternoon. We shall see.

A Rockin' Good Time!

It rained almost all morning but we did manage to get a little bit of sun in this afternoon. The boys got to play outside and we did swim in the very COLD pool!

Memorial Day weekend officially has begun!

Kimmy, Trey and Grant arrived tonight and we are already having so much fun with the boys. This is sure to be a crazy weekend...I just hope all this rain stops! We are eager to go to the beach and get these kids out and running!

Grandma and Pop are loving watching the boys, they have had a few tough weeks with health complaints so I think a few hours tonight of watching the kids run around was good for them.

Lots more pics to come all weekend long!

What was I thinking?

I must have been delusional over the weekend to take the crib apart! We (and by "we" I really mean Rob) haven't had a full nights sleep since I thought Cooper was a "big boy" for a toddler bed.

Night number #1- I woke up to find all the clothes out of the drawers and covering the floor of his room.

Night #2- I was awoken by Cooper pulling my arm off the bed going "ma ma" at 3:00 am.

Night #3- I have no idea as Rob was up and down almost all night with him as I turned off the monitor and pretended not to hear what was going on...ignorance is bliss my friends!

Also...Rob has been looking at old blogs of Cooper and saying "where did my baby go?" Take a look at this picture from the other night and compare it to this old one!

Big Boy Bed

This weekend I got brave and decided to take down the "crib" and create the "toddler bed" on our convertable crib. Stupidly, I thought the wood beam I had was a rail but it wasn't so we had to get a bed rail. He napped fine today and I hope to have him continue sleeping all night like he did in the crib....I always wanted to hear the pitter patter of little feet in my house...just not at 2am so I hope he stays in this bed!
He of course loves it and has been in and out playing in it all day. I keep telling him it's the same bed just without the fourth "wall" of the crib... but to him..it's brand new :)

Relay for Life

What a truley remarkable event! Thanks so much to all who donated....our team was the top team with over $17,000!

I enjoyed the day with my friend Jennifer who today marks the one year anniversary to be cancer free from stage 4 melanoma. We ate our way through the day and enjoyed every bit of it!

Jake spoke at the luminary service and told Hope's story, as I sat with the boys and tried to swallow my tears. It was an emotional evening and even though the event doesn't end until 8am Sunday morning...I declared it the end to my day at 10:30pm.

Kids, big and small, enjoyed food, henna tatoos and hair painting to name of few of the activities to keep the event moving.

Good Bye

We are sad to say goodbye to our family. Everyone is gone and the house is quiet...Rob has Cooper in the pool and I am getting ready for Relay. The kids swam and played....we watched movies, ate wayyyyy tooooo much and just enjoyed each other's company. Rob took the older kids on a swamp boat ride Friday and saw lots of gators.
We had a great time and can't wait to get together again soon!
