Guest/Hobby Room Part II
I've been a busy bee getting this yellow room together. I still need one more wall finished but today Mom and I got this window cornice from Lowes.
It was super easy to put up and I love it :)
I also made Cooper a little craft area opposite mine.

Hobby/Guest Room
The weekend project I mentioned last weekend is continuing on. I am updating my guest room into a hobby and guest room to hold all my crafts/photography stuff. So far I have gotten the room painted two coats and a small wall decorated a bit. I made my own "clothesline" for Cooper's art and some favorite pictures. I also decoupaged the top of my grandmothers craft table since it needed re-painting so badly but I am painted out for now. I also replaced the closet doors with curtains for easier access to the closet...more to come as I slowly but surely get the room updated.

Happy Birthday Mom!
I hope everyone can see,What a great mom you’ve always been,
And how much you mean to me.
I always think about you,In times both good and bad,
For the things you taught are with me,In happy times and sad.
On your birthday I wish you joy,Just like you pass around.
May all your good times multiply,And happiness abound.

House vs Home
I am in full blown decorating mode. Today I went bananas with chalk board paint.
Also check out some new blogs I found...I posted links on the sidebar.
I have always loved the antique couch from Uncle Bobby that I had re-covered but never found the right place for it. I also have always wanted a french country breakfast nooke, so,
I have always loved the antique couch from Uncle Bobby that I had re-covered but never found the right place for it. I also have always wanted a french country breakfast nooke, so,
tonight I combined the two.
I moved the couch to the kitchen table and put it up against the red wall..the minute I did that...I was in LOVE!
I still need some antique claw feet to raise the couch up a few inches to sit perfectly at the table, but I love it already, I can see many comfortable conversations around this table now.

Mommy, I do it
There's this famous story of when I was a little girl and my uncle wanted to wash his car with me. My grandma used to show me the picture and tell me over and over how I would say "I do it" and insist I help my uncle wash the car. My guess is I was 2 1/2 or 3 ish because today....Cooper said "Mommy I do it" all day long! As I cleaned the garage he was right with me....wanting to sweep and of course dance to music he was signing but still ...he wanted to be right there. Kimmy, Grant and Grayson are coming for about a month over the summer, so while I cleaning, I dragged out Cooper's old highchair and was shocked by the filth. Before I knew it Cooper had a rag, was sloshing the water in the bucket and was insisting "Mommy I do it"....for a second I heard Phina's voice and could see her showing me that 1970's photo of me and Uncle Bobby.
So......... there's my amazing chalk drawing of Grammie :)

Sorry I've been gone...miss me?
Sorry I haven't posted in so long but I got sick with a 103 fever on Mother's Day and tore my corenea the day before.
Since this is really an online journal for myself and Cooper, I have been having a hard time too if truth be told. Lots of changes, lots of self reflection, lots of tears.

Lots of laughs too...since I have this little guy and all:
Sorry to sound so cryptic but it's not the kinda thing I'd like to blast on the internet so....trust me when I say, it's not a life or death situation (been there too many times to count now) so....really..its not the end of the world.
