First grade again :)

With Cooper entering the Colorado education system barely making the cut off for kindergarten, we knew it would catch up to us.  First grade was the perfect grade to get a "do again" year and Cooper couldn't be more thrilled! Same teacher but a different classroom and a great group of kids!

Summer fun 2014

We had a great Florida summer!  We stayed in Florida from Memorial weekend until August and soaked up every minute of it!  Cooper was able to spend a lot of time with his dad and the Britt side of the family, we attended Hope's high school graduation, visited with Nathan and Reese and all our Florida friends and of course, had lots of cousin time before the Howerton family moved off to Dushanbe, Tajikistan!

Memorial Day Weekend 2014

We flew into Florida this weekend to surprise Grammie for her 70th birthday on Sunday.  I didn't end up pulling off the surprise because I hated the idea of her thinking she was alone all day and then we surprised her in the evening so we told her a week in advance.  We are having a great time and plan on spending the entire summer here!

Easter 2014

Don't let this spring photo fool you...Colorado has not been all that warm in the month of April...we had snow and cold windy days. A few nice warm days though have let the trees turn green and some flowers spring up.

We had Easter her this year with our friends and neighbors. Cooper and I did our traditional egg dying night and we attended church Sunday morning.

The Easter bunny of course came and I just finished the last of the Easter candy...my waist has expanded over it all...I have to stop the "Peep" madness!

We enjoyed not only a nice Easter dinner with friends but the Easter Bunny this year had a hard time hiding eggs with this kitty cat in the house!

Flag Football

On Saturdays mornings you can now find us at the ball field.  Given the choice of soccer,  t-ball or flag football, Cooper chose football.

 He loves the drills

He loves the instruction

He loves having a team

He is also afraid of the ball,
doesn't know which direction to run,
cheers for all plays on either team,
claps for all players and make "tackling" faces to no one in particular.

So it's been a win/win for both of us!
