Last days of Kindergarten

We have one week of school left. I have such mixed emotions about this year ending. I don't have that "spring fever" feeling (maybe because we JUST started to have nice weather) and I don't have that exhausted feeling that things need to end so I can get a break. I still feel like I could keep going this year but maybe that's because Cooper has LOVED kindergarten so much this year. We don't want it to end.

He is nervous about 1st grade, and I have to remind myself he's a young Kindergartener. He loves his class, his friends, his routine. Its so strange to not be eager for summer break but we aren't.

We are happy to see Grammie and Daddy here in Colorado. They are coming and we have a list of fun things to do with them. It's a fun time of year!

Yesterday was field day at school. Cooper loved all the activities and even tried the bubble blowing contest. It was a great day.

I am also so proud of all the diverse group of friends he has made and the way he views all the kid at the school as his friends.

I am excited to have been chosen to stay full time at his school next year. So Ill be under the same roof as him full time. Such a blessing!!

Cell Phone Picture Collage

We have been getting settled in the new place :) Cooper had a dance at school, we had a bad snow storm and then spring high temps all in one week and I got a "Save the Date" card in the mail (posted for all my nosey rosey reader whom I love!)
That's what we have been up to!
Some more pictures of our day at Garden of the Gods is on the photography page

Onward and Upward

It started out at 4pm on a Saturday looking like this.  A few personal items and a bunch of nothing. We waited and waited to hear from the movers.
When they did finally arrive, they couldn't bring the truck back to my unit and ended up walking my stuff down the street and up to the apartment.  Mike "the Foreman" checked off all the items off the list. And Thank God he did, I couldn't remember a thing that was coming barely.
By 7pm Chrissy and Sandra had done basically my whole kitchen. The kids camped out in Cooper's room watching movies while we handled the mess of the move.

We have a beautiful view of the Cheyenne Mountain Range from my front porch.
From the bedrooms we can see Pike's Peak (with snow right now)
Cooper has been playing in his room non stop, stuff is a mess, but it's so nice to have our stuff again!

(Right now I love to look at my sea shells with the mountains in the distance)

We are getting settled and still moving onward and upward!

Moving ......again.

I am waiting on my boxes and furniture from Florida. The whole truck load filled with stuff I haven't seen in 9 months. A year really, it was last March/April I moved in with Mom officially.  It will be nice to sit on my own couch, sleep in my own bed.  We are packing up what we have with us here at our friend's house and slowly moving ourselves in.

The Mustang can still haul whatever I need it to as you can see from the photos above, it was bed frames this time :)  Cooper and I are excited to get settled and I am eager to decorate.  The place may be empty...but I already rolled out the welcome mat!

Spring Break, Easter and more New Beginnings

Spring Break this year was very different from last.  Last year we were on a cruise, this year there was snow on the ground and Cooper and I explored Colorado Springs.  We saw the Easter Bunny, went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, saw a movie and slept in.  I worked a bit for the mom's website and oh....we packed!  We are getting ready to move into our own apartment in 2 weeks, we are very excited.

Karate Yellow Belt Testing

We woke up on this snowy spring break Saturday to go to testing for Cooper's yellow belt. After 2 1/2 hours of testing (YES! That long!) he is passed the test and is a new yellow belt.

He was tested on technique, form and focus.

He was also tested on weapons.

And sparring.

Cooper loves to "tuck like a turtle" (above) and protect his head for safety if he's ever attacked.  Ladders (below) is his favorite exercise.

His little smirk when they told him he passed.

On a side note, I have been doing photography for the studio so I was allowed out on the floor. There I am :)
