Sneaking in a post before it's March!

So I am sneaking in this post so I posted more than once in February.
Man this short month went by fast!

We went on a boat ride around Clearwater after we spent the weekend
with Kimmy and her crew in St Pete.

We braved the record number crowd and stood with our friends and neighbors
out on a sandbar in the banana river to watch
the historic last launch of the shuttle Discovery.

And we heard today that this little munchkin is not only walking...
but moving to Puerto Rico in a new months!

Guess I'll be visiting my sis and slurping Pina Coladas at the same time soon!

March is my month and it starts tomorrow! Stay tuned :)

This and that I have neglected to post

So today is Super Bowl Sunday.
First year in a long time I didn't even know who was playing tonight.
Work and "semi" single motherhood ( I do have my mom right down the way you know) has been keeping me really busy. Work has gotten really good by the way...I am starting to really get into it :)

Cooper got Lotso Huggin Bear and yes....LOVES him so!
He thanks me all the time "thank you Mommy for
buying Lotso for me..oh and for finding Woody's hat!"

The strawberry scent is a bit strange I have to say.

Last weekend we were really busy having a great day with Meredith (I won't post Danny's picture as a Super Hero) and Robin and the kids came over.
Chris and Cooper play so well together :)

This picture above so reminds me of Pop and Uncle Bobby.
Sitting in the driveway....just "watchin' people".
That gene pool is strong folks!

There's never ever ever ever ever ever been a show like Veggie Tales

CLICK HERE to hear the real song if you don't know it can't understand our rendition!

Cooper is watching all the shows and likes to pretend
he is Larry the Cucumber and I am "Veggie Tales Princess".
All I know is I am learning way more about the Bible
from them then I ever did at Catholic School!  Ha

Post Holiday Down Time

Happy New Year!

This first few days of the new year have flown by, I hope they have for everyone else too.

Jan 7th marked the 2nd Anniversary of Hope's passing. I was so happy that my friend Jennifer was in town and we were able to all celebrate together with a big dinner on Friday night.  It was great to let all the kids play, have a great dinner and to catch up.  Jen is the most beautiful bald woman I have ever seen, her treatment for Stage 4 melanoma is working and I was so thrilled to spend time with her. Nathan, Reese, Samantha, Nolan and even Cooper joined us in a toast to Hope and we all enjoyed chocolate desserts in her honor.

Cooper have been frantically playing with all this toys from Christmas.  "Mommy come play with me" is a constant plea.  For the most part, he has been playing with his toys by himself..."Uncle Bobby Buzz" is a favorite who plays with Woody, Jessie, Bullseye and
" 'nother Buzz" in reference to the old Buzz we still have. The Toy Story gang is busy with tea parties, getting stuck in the mud and running from monsters...they are one busy group!

This weekend has come and gone too quickly, working full time out of the house and out of town has really made me want to "hunker down" this weekend.  Showering late (if at all...ha!) and not leaving the house is about all I can muster....so Cooper and I have been painting, watching movies and I have been in full fun photography mode.

I hope everyone is having a nice relaxing Sunday too :)

Full- The Christmas 2010 Edition

It's coming to be THAT time of year.
You know, the time of year where you start to get reflective on your life
and how another year has come and gone.
How you start to question, what did I do with my life these past 365 days?
I am in that reflective mode this week.

I know I am again full after a holiday...full in the best way possible.  Full of  love and gratitude to be surrounded by people who inspire me, make me want to be a better person and who love me for who I am.

I love that in a year of divorce, I get to still be an aunt to amazing children
whom I have grown to love so deeply.
I am full with love for this girl and her siblings and her cousins.

I am full literally of amazing Italian Christmas cuisine that reminds me of my roots and makes me smile that this is the same picture that has been taken in my family for generations.  The faces age and change from generations but it's really the same picture...same food, same traditions, same blood line.

I am full of admiration for my mother, her strength in the shadow of grief and her ability to help me raise Cooper to be a fine young man who I can already tell is above and beyond his 3 whole years.

I am full of love and amazement at this little boy whom I am so very lucky to call mine.  To think I lived a time on this earth without him....it's crazy to think about my life before.  I know that the person I am today is certainly not the person I was then, and with that thought, I am excited about the person I still am yet to be.  So...bring on 2011.  I am ready...I think my glass is just half full.

I am ready for to keep filling the rest of my life up ...and to fill it to the brim!
